Job Summary

The Assistant Property Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall management of residential or commercial properties. This position involves assisting with daily operations, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining property standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management and customer service, along with knowledge of relevant regulations and software systems.

Duties

  • Assist in the management of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property maintenance requests using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the leasing process by conducting property showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests with vendors and oversee the completion of work orders through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants through upselling strategies and effective communication.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for contracts, legal documents, and administrative records.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Section 8 housing programs.
  • Proficiency in property management software such as Appfolio is highly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Proven sales skills with a focus on customer relationship management.
  • Strong conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes effectively.
  • Experience in real estate administration or legal administrative roles is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts effectively while maintaining positive relationships with tenants and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills for data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Familiarity with facilities management principles is beneficial. This position requires an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional service to tenants and stakeholders alike.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
