As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Patrol in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will provide exceptional customer service, assist with access control and badge procedures, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and report any suspicious activity or unauthorized persons encountered during patrols.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site leadership regarding incidents, maintenance needs, or other concerns identified during patrols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations as required by site protocols.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and/or site staff to help to maintain a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
