Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Sculptor to lead our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic background, mastery of digital sculpting tools (like ZBrush and Blender), and experience in creating high-detail 3D models for a variety of miniature scales.

This is a remote-friendly position with flexible hours, ideal for freelance artists or professionals seeking consistent side work.

Responsibilities

• Researching and applying reference material.
• Interpreting 2D concept art and turning it into detailed 3D models.
• Optimizing sculpted models for finishing.
• Collaborating with a cross-functional team of marketing, sales, manufacturing, and communications.
• Ensuring models meet technical specifications and artistic direction.
• Iterating designs based on feedback and making necessary adjustments in a timely manner.
• Exporting and cataloging appropriate file types.
• Assisting with peripheral design assets like digital renders.
• Other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a digital sculptor, 3D modeler, or similar role.
• Proficiency in digital sculpting software such as ZBrush (required).
• Working knowledge of tools like Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, etc.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, form, proportion, and detail.
• Experience in preparing models for 3D printing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to cheerfully give and receive feedback.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant work.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Church history, especially the saints.
• Traditional sculpting or fine arts background.
• Experience in table-top gaming and/or model painting.
• Familiarity with concepts like manifold geometry, mesh cleanup, hollowing, support structure planning, and tolerancing.
• Familiarity with KeyShot, Photoshop, or Canva.
• We strongly prefer candidates with a willingness to make the design process a prayerful exercise.
