SHIFT

1st shift (5:00am - 1:30pm ~ hours will vary depending on production)

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for facility maintenance and mechanical operations. Analyze and

correct electrical and mechanical problems on all equipment related to plant manufacturing operation. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and building. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform electrical repairs and preventative maintenance on facilities and various processing equipment
  • Perform pneumatic mechanical repairs on equipment as needed
  • Set up equipment for production
  • General facility and office repair and maintenance
  • Complete tasks as listed on facility audits and work orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
  • Follow all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices

Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Able to work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.)- COLD TEMPS
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Heavy lifting required, some over 50lbs unassisted
  • Continuous movement, and must be able to stand for long periods of time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must meet expectations on Safety, Attendance, Teamwork, Quality, and Productivity metrics
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must be able to follow instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers
  • Visual, auditory, and hand dexterity
  • Full body mobility
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Adequate reading/language, writing, and math skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge in electrical, machine repair, Preventative Maintenance, Pneumatics
  • At least three (3) years of prior experience in plant/manufacturing setting
  • Some experience of ammonia systems strongly preferred
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, determine problem and execute solution
  • Excellent knowledge of powered and manual tools; sound mechanical ability
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, welding and general maintenance
  • Knowledge of motors/ belts/conveyors/piping/plumbing
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision; must be self motivated to produce results
