The Role

We're looking for a Senior Operations Manager to take our warehouse and customer experience operations to the next level and play a key role in shaping the future of Stork Exchange. You'll lead a growing team, streamline processes, and ensure every order and interaction reflects the care, quality, and trust our brand represents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a growing team across warehouse operations and customer support functions
  • Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement by developing emerging leaders and empowering teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Oversee all warehouse activities, including inventory processing, fulfillment, shipping and receiving, returns, and exception handling
  • Support Customer Care in delivering a best-in-class experience, resolving escalations, and driving customer satisfaction and retention
  • Partner with the COO to design and optimize standard operating procedures that ultimately streamline workflows, increase productivity, and reduce errors
  • Evaluate and implement new systems, tools, and automation to scale operations and improve performance
  • Maintain deep knowledge of operational systems, processes, and policies to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Manage warehouse resources—supplies, equipment, and technology—to ensure optimal utilization, inventory levels, and maintenance
  • Uphold safety, compliance, and risk management standards across all operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align efforts with company priorities and customer needs
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and partners, including shipping carriers, donation partners, and facility providers
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and professional development to build and retain top talent

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of management experience in warehouse, logistics, or operational leadership within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operations teams and processes
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and motivate others
  • Hands-on, proactive problem solver with strong process improvement skills (experience with Lean or Six Sigma a plus)
  • Strong technical proficiency–experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, and other operational software
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into action
  • Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle – hiring, training, performance management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-site at our warehouse located in South Charlotte
