As a Senior Manager in our Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization, you will be instrumental in building and supporting secure and modern IAM capability that helps to secure the Boeing Company. and its partners.

Bringing deep expertise in IAM, infrastructure and cloud technologies, you will lead global, cross-functional teams to foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and creativity. As a visionary leader, you will drive the development of infrastructure and automation solutions that enhance the resilience, security, and scalability of our IAM services.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership and people/operations management: you will define and execute platform strategy, oversee secure and scalable infrastructure for IAM services, manage supplier/vendor technical relationships, and develop individual contributors.

You will integrate engineering, infrastructure, security, and process activities across IAM — shaping roadmaps, approving technical approaches, and ensuring services meet reliability, compliance, and business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-discipline team (DevOps, Platform, Automation) supporting IAM services across cloud and hybrid infrastructure

  • Define and execute platform roadmap for infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), observability, and automation aligned to IAM and Enterprise Security priorities

  • Drive platform reliability (Service Level Objectives (SLOs)/Service-Level Agreements (SLAs)), incident response, root-cause analysis, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement

  • Build and maintain secure, automated delivery pipelines for IAM applications and integrations (including schema/config management, secret management, and rotation)

  • Champion infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.) and standardize reusable modules/components

  • Partner with security architects, product owners, engineering teams, cloud operations, and compliance to design secure, auditable solutions that meet regulatory/compliance needs

  • Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and automation for onboarding, deployments, scaling, and disaster recovery

  • Manage vendor relationships for platform tooling and cloud services; evaluate new tools and drive adoption where appropriate

  • Own capacity planning, cost management, and platform health reporting for IAM services

  • Hire, retain, and develop senior individual contributors and team leads; drive career development plans and performance reviews

  • Provide cost, risk, and impact analysis for platform design and operational decisions; present to executive stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure support

  • 5+ years of experience in a people management role

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating infrastructure for identity, authentication, or security-centric services (or complex distributed services)

  • 5+ years of experience cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid/cloud networking, security groups and IAM

  • 5+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management

  • Experience with container orchestration and platform automation

  • Experience with secrets management and secure credential handling.

  • Experience with collaborating cross-functionally (security, engineering, compliance, risk)

  • Experience with history of producing technical roadmaps and executive updates

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience with basic networking concepts

  • 5+ years of experience with system configuration tools and implementation of architectural frameworks (Service Oriented Architecture, Domain-Driven Design)

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IAM products or services (Ping, Azure AD, SailPoint, LDAP, Active Directory, EntraID, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience running SRE teams or platform teams supporting security-critical applications

  • 5+ years of experience regulatory/compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, FedRAMP, PCI, HIPAA) and how to operationalize controls
