Speech Therapist (SLP) - Skilled Nursing & Post-Acute Care

Midland Medical Lodge is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team in Midland, Texas. Responsibilities

  • Assess & Plan: Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities; develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Treat & Support: Provide skilled speech therapy to improve function, introduce AAC systems when needed, and coordinate swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES).
  • Educate & Collaborate: Train residents, families, and staff; partner with restorative nursing and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Document & Comply: Maintain accurate billing/clinical records, safeguard confidentiality, and meet all legal and professional standards.
  • Engage & Advocate: Respond promptly to family concerns and ensure resident safety, preventing abuse or neglect.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas SLP license (or eligibility) and current ASHA Certification in good standing.
  • SNF, long-term care, or rehab experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Knowledge of current treatment practices; familiarity with Net Health system preferred.
