Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Specialist to join our team . TRAINING PROVIDED NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts, enabling them to effectively assess creditworthiness and manage risk. This role involves conducting thorough credit analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Credit Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial needs while safeguarding the company's interests.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.
  • Perform risk analysis and cash flow analysis to inform lending decisions.
  • Engage in negotiations with clients to structure loan terms that meet their needs while minimizing risk.
  • Collect and analyze data related to loan applications and portfolio performance.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
  • Utilize financial modeling techniques to project future performance based on historical data.
  • Monitor loan servicing activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement fraud prevention and detection measures throughout the loan origination process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in banking, accounting, and portfolio management to optimize lending strategies.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including equity research, financial analysis, and technical accounting.
  • Proficiency in quantitative research methods and data collection techniques.
  • Experience with financial software for credit analysis, loan processing, and mortgage servicing.
  • Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles related to lending practices.
  • Familiarity with forecasting techniques and financial report writing is essential.
  • Previous experience in underwriting, loan origination, or fraud prevention is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks related to credit evaluation.
