Role Overview

Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)

Department: Program Management

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Pebble, you will drive the successful delivery of major vehicle programs, owning execution from early design through product launch. This role is TPM in title but carries strong Operations Program Management responsibilities, ensuring suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and engineering are fully aligned to deliver high-quality vehicles on time.

You'll set the pace for cross-functional teams, resolve critical path issues, and provide executive-level visibility into risks, tradeoffs, and readiness. With deep experience running complex hardware programs, you'll help Pebble establish disciplined program management practices while thriving in the speed and ambiguity of a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery of major vehicle programs, from concept to production ramp, balancing engineering, manufacturing, and business priorities.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Vehicle Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to ensure program deliverables are met.

  • Operational Readiness: Drive supplier readiness, tooling, PPAPs, material availability, and build event planning (prototype, pilot, and production).

  • Execution Excellence: Build and maintain master program schedules, track critical dependencies, and manage risks with clear mitigation strategies.

  • Executive Communication: Provide clear, concise program status updates to executives and stakeholders, escalating issues with solutions.

  • Change Management: Ensure design and supplier changes are evaluated, approved, and implemented without jeopardizing program timelines.

  • Mentorship & Process Building: Contribute to scaling Pebble's program management practices, mentoring junior team members and instilling operational rigor.

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience within automotive, EV, or complex hardware manufacturing, with 5+ years of direct experience leading major product development programs through launch.

  • Proven success in NPI (new product introduction), supplier management, and operational readiness for high-volume manufacturing.

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to bridge engineering and operations.

  • Exceptional program management skills, schedule creation, risk management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution.

  • Outstanding communication and executive presence, able to influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced startup or entrepreneurial environments preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

  • Global experience is strongly preferred, particularly in managing suppliers and manufacturing partners across multiple regions; Mandarin/Chinese language proficiency (speaking/working) is a plus.

  • Travel requirement of up to 10%
