Position Summary

The Retail Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Yummy Extensions retail store, ensuring a seamless, high-quality customer experience while achieving sales and operational goals. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for managing a team of associates, maintaining accurate inventory and pricing, executing sales and marketing initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies and store standards.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and customer-focused leader with at least five years of previous retail experience, a proven track record of driving sales, and the ability to cultivate a positive team environment that reflects the Yummy Extensions brand.

Compensation

This will be a full-time Exempt salaried position. The salary range for this role will be $50,000-$55,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Yummy Extensions retail store location; including staffing within store security guidelines
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the Retail Handbooks, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Responsible for ensuring the department meets the monthly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and sales goals
  • Ability to adhere to the retail blackout period between October – January of each year.
  • Portraying a positive company image and engaging in professional and friendly communications with internal and external customers
  • Develops and facilitates training for all retail team members
  • Creates and executes monthly sales strategies with the intent to exceed sales goals
  • Upselling and Cross Selling with the intent to exceed store sales goals
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Manager to coordinate all customer experience events (pop up shops, instore only events, etc.)
  • Responsible for strategizing and creating marketing promotional materials as directed by marketing team, supervising any delegations of these tasks
  • Actively listening to customer needs and inquiries to determine appropriate service actions and supervising the rectification of customer concerns
  • Address all customer experience escalations for instore customers
  • Responsible for the accuracy of product and supplies inventory at all retail locations. This includes inputting and maintenance of inventory levels in point-of-sale system
  • Responsible for price accuracy in the point-of-Sale systems at all retail locations
  • Responsible for replenishment of product and supplies inventory at all retail locations
  • Perform daily audits of all retail store functions and provide reporting to department head
  • Provide daily/weekly status to department head
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Manager with addressing customer inquiries as needed
  • Responsible for cleaning the inside of the store and its surroundings, supervising any delegations of these tasks
  • Responsible for maintaining the retail store, including scheduling and overseeing repairs, services, or maintenance that may be needed from time to time
  • Cross trained in Customer Service and Fulfillment departments
  • Other duties as assigned that are deemed reasonable by the Department Head

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, we will consider 3-5 years of relative experience in lieu of a college degree.
  • 5+ years prior experience in beauty sales with a strong focus on customer service, face-to-face, and telecommunication.
  • 3+ years of management experience, preferably leading a team of 3-5 associates.
  • Previous experience in managing customer-focused KPIs.
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
  • Cosmetologist license is preferred.
  • 25% travel will be required for this position.
  • Strong leadership skills; self-reliant.
  • Ability to accurately serve as a cashier, including processing credit cards, making change, and other basic math skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from Department Head.
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Ability to up-sell and cross-sell.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and software manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Solution-driven and goal-oriented mindset.
