Overview
We're seeking a
QA Engineer
with strong hands-on experience in
Playwright
,
TypeScript
, and
manual testing
. This is a
hybrid QA role
supporting telemetry-focused applications across
telecom, cable, and mobile platforms
. You'll be responsible for validating mission-critical enterprise systems and automating test scenarios for features you test manually.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Review JIRA stories and execute manual test cases
  • Approve pull requests (PRs) for developer deployment
  • Post-validation, automate the tested feature using Playwright
  • Add automation scripts to the shared automation repository
  • Ensure all user stories are tested and properly automated in the sprint
  • Troubleshoot existing automation if issues arise
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery

Note:
If placed on
Lighthouse Mobile
, the resource may focus more on
manual testing of Android apps
, as automation is currently not available.

Required Skills

  • Manual Testing: Strong experience in functional, UI, and regression testing

  • Automation:

  • Experience in Playwright with TypeScript / JavaScript

  • Ability to write automation tests for features manually validated

  • Version Control / CI Tools: Basic understanding of Git and automation workflows

  • Ability to work in agile environments, reviewing stories and coordinating closely with developers

Nice To Have

  • Experience testing Android/mobile applications
  • Familiarity with telecom/cable networks, routing/switching concepts
  • Exposure to banking, finance, or healthcare domains

Projects You Might Work On

  • Scope / Lighthouse: Focused on telemetry and cable-oriented solutions
  • Lighthouse Mobile: Focused on manual testing for mobile apps (Android)
  • PNG / Banking / Healthcare: Functional testing and mobile QA without cable domain requirements

Additional Notes

  • If you demonstrate basic Playwright proficiency in the interview, you can be hired.
  • Interviewers are technical and expect real-time Playwright coding in TypeScript/JavaScript.
