Introduction

We're seeking a self-driven and flexible Android Developer to join a collaborative 11-person product team, focusing on gaming applications. You'll be the sole Android engineer, responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining engaging mobile experiences that drive user retention, engagement, and discoverability. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on developer who enjoys creative problem-solving and delivering customer-facing products that delight users.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on Android development
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack, and Kotlin Coroutines
  • Strong experience with Room Database and performance troubleshooting
  • Proven track record delivering customer-facing mobile applications
  • Strong organizational and task management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with remote teams
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in mobile gaming or user engagement analytics
  • Understanding of mobile telemetry and retention metrics
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and experimentation (A/B testing)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full Android development lifecycle — from technical design and implementation to testing, experimentation, and launch
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Android features across the gaming platform
  • Manage and track tasks through Jira, communicating progress proactively
  • Collaborate with designers and product teams on feature planning and visual design
  • Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable code
  • Analyze user engagement data to improve mobile experiences and player retention
