Build Reliability Engineer
Location: Georgia
About the Opportunity
We're working with an aerospace company building
next-generation high-speed aircraft
, and they're expanding their
Build Reliability Engineering (BRE)
team.
This group sits at the intersection of
manufacturing, quality, and engineering-
focused on keeping production moving fast
without
sacrificing precision or traceability.
As a
Build Reliability Engineer
, you'll be the bridge between the shop floor and design teams, driving investigations, improving processes, and making sure every part of the manufacturing system performs reliably- from machines and harnesses to subassemblies and final integration.
What You'll Do
- Lead
manufacturing investigations-
dig into root causes, resolve nonconformances, and prevent reoccurrence. - Shape and refine
manufacturing processes
to improve speed, quality, and repeatability. - Manage
build records and NCRs
(non-conformance reports), ensuring documentation supports rapid iteration without slowing production. - Partner with technicians, MEs, and quality to ensure
data-driven decisions
drive shop reliability. - Support
machine, tube, harness, and subassembly reliability
, as well as overall shop health. - Use
metrology tools
(CMMs, laser scanners, etc.) to ensure precise measurement and verification.
Who You Are
- Engineering background (Mechanical or related discipline).
- 3–5 years' experience in
build reliability, quality, or manufacturing engineering
. - Strong understanding of
root cause analysis, failure investigation, and corrective actions
. - Experience improving processes in
fast-paced, hardware-focused environments
(preferably aerospace, space, or advanced manufacturing). - Comfortable working in a
hands-on, high-tempo
environment where systems evolve daily. - A builder's mindset: proactive, collaborative, and always looking to make things better.
Why You'll Love It
You'll help define
how flight hardware gets built, tested, and improved
in an environment that moves at start-up speed.
Your work directly shapes the reliability and quality of the systems that make
the future of high-speed flight
possible.
This isn't a paperwork quality role, it's about
owning reliability on the floor
, solving real problems in real time, and helping a team build hardware that actually flies.
