Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Division Manager to lead our telecom operations and design division in the Allen, Texas region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in telecom outside-plant (OSP) design, construction, and engineering systems—particularly IFP (Inside Fiber Plant / Infrastructure Fiber Planning) and IQGeo platforms.

This leadership role oversees business development, project delivery, team management, and operational excellence while maintaining strong client partnerships and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of division operations, including P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Direct and oversee OSP design and field operations to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.
  • Leverage IFP and IQGeo systems to support network planning, data integrity, and project execution.
  • Drive process improvement and innovation in design engineering workflows and field data management.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, engineers, CAD designers, and field staff.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring alignment with business goals and exceptional service delivery.
  • Support business development through opportunity identification, proposal support, and contract negotiations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with delivery, permitting, construction, and finance teams to streamline execution.
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform strategy and growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in telecom or utility infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of OSP engineering, field operations, and design delivery.
  • Proficiency with IFP and IQGeo systems required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale network buildouts.
  • Proven success in P&L ownership, cost control, and business development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to travel to field or client locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and telecom GIS design tools.
  • Familiarity with fiber network design, FTTH, backbone/distribution, and make-ready engineering.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or other project management certifications.
  • Experience driving operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability across multiple projects or clients.
