Infrastructure & Systems Architect / Operations Lead

Duties –

  • Network and Infrastructure Management – skillset Network Architect, Network Security, Hardware Architect
  • Develop infrastructure plans based upon ongoing requirements
  • Develop new infrastructure plans based upon new projects
  • Incorporate proper security safeguards within all the plans
  • Create procedures for operations team to implement in their daily work, incorporating security safeguards
  • Manage existing VM Infrastructure
  • Adapt the infrastructure as needed
  • Assign and balance tasks, services, programs, systems as new one arise
  • Plan and implement changes to the firewall needed to support other changes within the network or communications needs
  • Cert file updates
  • Onboarding setup
  • Troubleshoot issues with partners
  • Support the Operations team as issues arise
  • Troubleshoot issues with partners
  • Enable use of newer versions of SFTP when partners need that
  • Create new scripts for new tasks that need FTP or SFTP incorporated
  • Occasionally onboard a new partner
  • Support Rate Entry team in loading data
  • Troubleshoot when rates are not being returned properly
  • Design and implement when new features are needed
  • Create automated processes to allow easier loading of data
  • Semi Manual loading of direct point tables received from carriers
  • Semi-Manual loading of transit time tables received from carriers
  • Semi-Manual loading of carriers into direct point tables when new carriers are added but don't provide such a table
  • Retention
  • Air-gap
  • Monitor the backup software, verify backups functional
  • Troubleshoot as necessary
  • Research programs, DCL scripts
  • Test, try, troubleshoot (debug) problems as presented
  • Structured, methodical way to dig into a problem and find the root problem
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Troubleshoot issues with Freight Payment Inquiry
  • Add new features to Freight Payment Inquiry
  • Integrate new data to Freight Payment Inquiry
  • Troubleshoot issues that first level support was unable to handle
  • Add new features to Image Processing
  • Troubleshoot issues that first level support was unable to handle
  • Add new features to Autoprocess
  • Troubleshoot issues that first level support was unable to handle
  • Help with creating out-of-the-ordinary queries, or formulas
  • Data analysis to develop a special chart or report
  • Business analyst to develop rules to be incorporated into the freight payment process

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
