Production Supervisor / Operations Supervisor / Shop Supervisor
is required to lead one of the busiest turbomachinery facilities in the region. This critical role will oversee production operations on a wide range of rotating equipment including
compressors, steam turbines, expanders, gearboxes, and impellers
. The position is focused on driving culture change, building accountability, and ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality across all production activities.

The successful candidate will balance shop floor leadership with office-based responsibilities, while working closely with engineering teams and technicians. They will hold employees accountable for process adherence, warranty compliance, and quality standards — particularly in areas such as impeller work, precision machining, and 5-axis machining. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for an experienced supervisor with a turbomachinery background who can demonstrate measurable improvements in performance, cost savings, and safety culture.

$125k to $150k base salary

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise production across compressors, steam turbines, expanders, gearboxes, and impellers.
  • Oversee impeller work and 5-axis machining, ensuring precision, safety, and quality.
  • Partner with engineering teams to guarantee warranty compliance and no skipped steps.
  • Split responsibilities 50/50 between shop floor leadership and office-based reporting/planning.
  • Drive accountability for efficiency, safety, and quality across all production activities.
  • Motivate and inspire teams, transforming a historically relaxed culture into a high-performance environment.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and key production metrics to deliver projects on time.
  • Support continuous improvement through measurable efficiency, cost savings, and quality outcomes.

Production Supervisor / Operations Supervisor / Shop Supervisor

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of turbomachinery industry experience .
  • Proven leadership skills with experience driving culture change and improving safety.
  • Strong technical background in rotating equipment: compressors, turbines, expanders, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and impellers.
  • Experience with OEMs or industrial manufacturing with fluid power / rotating equipment.
  • Mechanical or machining background with practical knowledge of impellers and 5-axis machining.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; post-high school mechanical qualification or degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance shop floor presence with office-based reporting and planning.
