Technical Project Manager with Software Engineering Background

Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Leadership

Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects across engineering, QA, product, and architecture teams.

Translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables and project roadmaps.

Manage timelines, risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination ensuring on-time delivery.

Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives using Agile/Scrum practices.

Technical Expertise
Leverage strong software engineering background to understand system architecture, APIs, backend systems, cloud platforms, and integration points

Review technical designs, participate in architecture discussions, and validate feasibility.

Collaborate with engineering leads to ensure coding standards, performance, and scalability best practices.

Bridge the gap between engineering and business teams with clear technical communication.

Stakeholder Management

Engage with product managers, designers, engineering teams, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities.

Communicate project status, updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and executives.

Manage requirement changes while maintaining project integrity and scope.

Process & Documentation

Drive continuous improvements in project processes, workflow optimization, and SDLC maturity.

Maintain detailed documentation including project plans, technical specifications, risk logs, and reports.

Ensure compliance with internal governance, security, and release management processes.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

6 12+ years of combined experience in software engineering and technical project management.

Strong understanding of software development, microservices, REST APIs, system integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).

Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum teams and delivering complex software products.

Experience using project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, etc.).

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
