At NBCH we provide high quality integrated care to meet the needs of our diverse patients. We offer comprehensive outpatient services to the community, including Primary & Urgent care, Women's Health, Pediatrics, Addiction Treatment, Psychiatric Care, Behavioral Health Therapy, and Dental Care.

The Integrated Behavioral Health Nurse will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the daily operations of the Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) and the Psychiatric Consultation (Psych Consult) Programs within the scope of a registered nurse. The IBHN uses strong interpersonal and organizational skills to develop, plan, and implement Health Center and departmental policies, procedures, and workflows while promoting the delivery of respectful, evidence-based, and high quality patient care. The IBHN is clinically competent and possesses strong management and collaboration skills as a key member of the OBAT and Psych Consult care teams.

  • Experience in engaging and supporting patients with complex behavioral health needs

  • Management experience and an ability to tactfully communicate with internal staff for purposes of assigning work duties and coaching

  • A positive attitude and dedication to lead by example by following through on commitments, acting in an honest manner, and keeping the Health Center and our patients' care at the center of focus

  • Empathetic and observant listener who can identify clinical and psychosocial needs

  • Effective communicator, able to coordinate care across the organization

  • Someone good under pressure who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Familiarity with grants and required reporting

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Experience: Experience a bonus but not required in the right candidate, Bilingual helpful to the position
  • Certification/Licensure: Current Registered Nursing license to practice in the state of Massachusetts is required
  • Software/Hardware: Experience working with electronic health records is preferred. Knowledge of EPIC is a plus
  • Life Support Certification is Required (CPR)
