Duties

• Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
• Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counting, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or RF scanners.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and inspecting goods for quality and accuracy.
• Perform order picking and packing tasks with precision to meet order fulfillment deadlines; utilize RF scanners for efficient order processing.
• Support warehouse distribution operations by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Operate mechanical equipment such as cranes or other heavy machinery when required for construction or manufacturing-related tasks.
• Conduct materials handling activities including loading/unloading trucks, stacking pallets, and preparing shipments for dispatch.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize inventory management strategies and improve overall warehouse efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipping/receiving logs, and incident reports using warehouse management systems.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols by following OSHA guidelines and participating in safety training sessions regularly.
• Assist with packaging products securely for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a strong understanding of inventory management principles.
• Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms for inventory tracking.
• Knowledge of materials handling procedures including loading/unloading trucks and stock replenishment techniques.
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations along with order fulfillment processes is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation or construction tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stocking and order picking tasks.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
