The Direct Operational Analytics team is looking for highly motivated senior analyst with strong analytical and technical skills to join the KPI team. This team ensures the operational health of the Direct channel by analyzing funnel performance, producing forecasts and performing deep-dive analyses on key business questions. You will be part of a team that generates analytical insights and accurate forecasts to influence real-time operational levers for a $4B direct-to-consumer personal lines channel, inclusive of digital and call center sales. You will work cross-functionally and partner with other Analytics, Operations, and Finance teams to fully understand operational and financial results for the channel. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience executing analytical projects. They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain their work to various audiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives with ambiguous problem-solving and enjoys translating quantitative data into actionable insights. Responsibilities
- Understand KPI trends and drivers, on a segment and channel level, to analyze variances in key performance metrics versus financial plan to diagnose drivers of gaps. Develop and perform monitoring of real-time and monthly results vs. expectations, performing investigations into meaningful deviations.
- Partner in leading Direct financial planning through effectively collaborating across multiple teams to set forward looking business targets.
- Experience querying, curating, and manipulating large datasets from multiple platforms and sources to deliver insights on critical and complex business questions
- Ability to effectively balance various tasks simultaneously, communicate proactively with stakeholders, and adapt to shifting or competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills with experience preparing and delivering presentations for a wide range of audiences, including influencing senior leadership on key priorities and business decisions
- Partner closely with Office of Data & Reporting (ODR) to prioritize, develop and optimize standard reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
- Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
- Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, SQL).
- Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
