The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and a deep respect for fine craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Clock Movement Assembly & Repair

- Perform minor adjustments, part replacements, and complete overhauls as needed.
Precision Tools & Instrumentation
- Work with fine hand tools (screwdrivers, tweezers, broaches, files, cutters, hammers).
- Use micrometers, dial gauges, and eye loupes for precision measurement and inspection.
- Operate small machinery during specific assembly and repair stages.
Product Assembly & Testing

- Uphold Chelsea's standards of craftsmanship and luxury.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality, reporting irregularities as necessary.
- Document repairs, part replacements, and configuration notes accurately.
Production & Process Management
- Interpret production orders, drawings, and verbal instructions for assembly and repair.
- Manage workload efficiently to meet production schedules without compromising quality.
Training & Development Support

- Contribute to hands-on training demos and digital instructional content.
- Support pilot training programs and help refine technical education initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- BA or BS college degree; technical/trade school training in mechanical assembly or horology a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Experience with fine mechanical components or precision assembly work.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and patience in performing delicate tasks.
Preferred
- Experience in clock, watch, or mechanical movement assembly or repair.
- Familiarity with horological tools, escapement systems, or movement construction.
- Training or certification from a horology organization or professional association.
