Position Summary
This dynamic role leads the Central Division of the United States, igniting change and inspiring growth by mentoring top educators and forging strong connections with Heads of Schools, school leaders, Directors, Field Directors, and passionate volunteers. This position equips and mobilize volunteers and members to advocate Christian education in state and federal governments, increase access to Christian education, and advance Christian education across the Division. This role is at the heart of creating invaluable strategic networking events for school leaders, elevating the significance of membership, and deeply understanding the unique needs of member schools to tailor resource recommendations.
This position will begin in July of 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Champion the value of membership among members and stakeholders, remaining thoroughly familiar with member schools (leadership, structures, programs and their history and utilization of ACSI services) to recommend resources and services from ACSI and others to meet school needs
- Partner with school leaders with empathy, questioning, and listening skills to provide spiritual and practical support, advice, information, and encouragement
- Consult via career knowledge and school growth expertise while leveraging the expertise of other ACSI specialists (Early Education, Accreditation, Professional Development, Legal Legislative, A.C.E. Student Success Center, Thought Leadership, Communications, etc.) key areas in line with ACSI Spiritual Formation and Flourishing principles
- Pursue and recruit non-member schools to bring into ACSI membership
- Coordinate and mobilize volunteers to promote and expand Christian education access at the community, church, parental, state, and federal levels across the Division
- Provide strategic and convening opportunities for school leaders to gather and network together both virtually and in person
- Represent the divisional voice to ACSI leadership and collaborate with all staff to advance the Division
- All other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits
Starting Salary Range: $129,000 - $140,000 annually; based on work experience, education, training, knowledge, skills, and internal and external equity.
Employees may choose from benefits including HDHP and copay medical plans, dental, vision, health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, health savings account, 403b retirement plan, and supplemental life and disability insurance. In addition, ACSI provides vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, basic life, basic accidental death and disability, long term disability, employee assistance plan, Christian school tuition benefit, and discretionary annual bonus.
Essential Qualifications
- a demonstrated acceptance without reservation of the ACSI Statement of Faith
- a strong, clear Christian testimony, acknowledging Christ as Savior and seeking to live as His disciple
- a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his/her prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others
- a mature, godly spirit
- a Christian role model (Luke 6:40) in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. (This includes being committed to God's biblical standards for sexual conduct.)
- a person of faith and prayer
- a broad acceptance of and by the evangelical Christian community
- a strong knowledge and understanding of Scripture
- a servant leader
- an active participation in a local Bible-believing church
Required Experience and Education
- Ten or more years of experience in Christian education, with a strong preference of five years or more as the Head of a Christian school, preferably an ACSI member school
- Must reside in one of the following Central Division states: AR, IA, IN, IL, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, OK, SD, TX, WI, WV
- Experience and involvement with ACSI is strongly preferred
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field; higher degree preferred
- Well known in the Christian School community as a recognized leader
- Able to articulate a Christian philosophy of education consistent with Scripture
- Demonstrated executive and management skills
- Effective in oral and written communication
- Have a deep understanding of and empathy for the Christian school
- Have a heart and vision for the individual Christian school and the Christian school movement as a whole
- Demonstrated commitment to biblical unity and kingdom diversity (Genesis 1:27, Galatians 3:28, Revelation 7:9-10) in the workplace
- Team player responsiveness to colleagues, the President of ACSI, and members of the leadership team
- Skilled in modern technological workplace tools
- Comfortable with the supportive technology to work remotely, engage staff and schools digitally, and provide resources electronically
- Able to function independently and remotely, maintaining appropriate work schedules and key communication processes
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30-40% by plane or automobile
- Driver's License required to be kept current and in effect as a condition of employment
- Employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear
- Essential duties require the use of computers to process information
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read at close range and distinguish colors and contrasts
- The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
- Able to lift, pack, and move boxes up to 50 pounds and set up events
