Job Summary:

As part of the AT&T Governance Enforcement, Assessment and Testing, Third Party Risk, and Emerging Technology Cyber Organization (GATE), you will support the Emerging Technology Team by collaborating across teams to design and implement security protocols which safeguard systems/process/data from malicious AI actors. You will analyze and mitigate AI security-related threats and vulnerabilities but by developing/implementing tools and processes and providing strategies to defend against cyber-attacks. Your hands-on experience and valuable research will help guide and evaluate emerging AI security technologies for effectiveness and audit AI systems for security risks. This role will ensure compliance and consult with stakeholders to ensure the secure deployment of AI systems.

Mission
:

  • Operationalize Artificial Intelligence across the business by enabling teams to leverage AI capabilities effectively and responsibly to best identify/mitigate risks of the cybersecurity impact of AI adoption. This role will help empower AT&T to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence while upholding the highest standards of security, governance, ethics, and innovation.
  • Leverages their advanced knowledge in cybersecurity to shape company objectives and achieve organizational goals for AI Security.
  • Leads impactful, wide-scope projects, creatively solving complex problems and develops/recommends policy changes.
  • Identifies innovative solutions with significant operational impact on the security and integrity of systems/processes.
  • Works autonomously, frequently engaging with senior and executive leaders and serving as a strategic advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Design & Implementation:
    Design security protocols to protect AI systems. Implement strategies to prevent cyber-attacks. Provide technical guidance on secure coding practices. Develop secure coding standards and best practices for AI-related cybersecurity.
  • Monitoring & Analysis
    : Monitor AI systems and networks to detect potential security threats. Analyze security threats and vulnerabilities. Audit existing AI systems for security risks and compliance.
  • Research & Development
    : Research and maintain up-to-date expertise on emerging AI security technologies, principles and practices. Develop tools and processes to analyze and address vulnerabilities. Conduct AI solution architecture assessments for proper security controls.
  • Testing & Data Management:
    Design and implement AI adversarial testing. Develop responsible AI filtering mechanisms. Handle sensitive data securely within AI solutions.
  • Technical Guidance & Collaboration:
    Work with stakeholders for secure AI deployment. Collaborate with developers and teams.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years leading and managing diverse technical teams as a cybersecurity expert with hands on experience implementing security protocols. An ideal candidate will have experience with safeguarding AI systems.
  • 5+ years minimum experience in third-party risk management or risk consulting.
  • Proven project management skills and experience. Excellent communication skills (written/spoken).
  • Certifications: ISACA, ISC2 or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Equivalent experience supporting a Federal cybersecurity program.

  • Flexible and creative thinker with strong execution skills. Anticipates the impact of decisions, progressing from high level concepts to detailed plans.

  • Strong commitment and drive to maintaining high security standards and proactively identifying and addressing security risks.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Our Expert Cybersecurity, earns between $155,400-$261,100 USD Annual , not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
