The Role

The Consultant – Sales Engineering Presales supports the design and delivery of client-specific technology solutions during the pursuit process. This role works closely with senior leaders to translate client needs into tailored solution components, develop technical documentation, and contribute to the creation of compelling sales collateral. The Consultant – Sales Engineering Presales plays a key role in ensuring the scalability, feasibility, and alignment of proposed solutions with AMS's technology strategy.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist in discovery sessions with clients to gather technical and functional requirements.
  • Translate client needs into solution components under the guidance of senior presales leads.
  • Develop supporting materials such as architecture diagrams, integration plans, and technical overviews.
  • Customize and deliver portions of solution demos and technical presentations.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses by drafting technical content and aligning with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update reusable assets including pitch decks, case studies, and solution templates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Growth, Marketing, CST) to ensure alignment of messaging and solution design.
  • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to internal enablement tools.
Skills & Experience

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with enterprise technology platforms and integration concepts.
  • Experience with solution documentation and presales support.
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from senior team members.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition platforms or HR technology ecosystems.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with AI innovation, GenAI pilots, and system monitoring in the context of talent technology.
  • Ability to use tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro for creating architecture diagrams.
  • Prior involvement in formal proposal development or bid support.
  • Understanding of AMS's proprietary platform and how it integrates into client solutions or a willingness to learn and a demonstrated ability to learn and teach proprietary systems.
