Housekeeping Room Attendant

Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel is looking for an ON-Call Room Attendant to join the housekeeping team.
This is ON-CALL position, with approximately 3-4 days of work weekly.
1+ years of similar experience is highly desirable.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
· Make beds, change sheets, remove trash and dirty dishes or trays, clean the bathrooms and replace used towels.
· Vacuum, clean dust and polish all surfaces in the guest room.
· Replenish all amenities and supplies in the guestrooms to include but not limited to soaps, tissues, napkins, glasses, magazines, pens etc.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Customer Service Skills and good Communication Skills.
· Flexible to work schedules to include morning/evenings/night, as well as weekends and holidays.
· Being a team player and ability to successfully pass on information from one team member to another.
· Ability to follow instructions.
· Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to be standing/mobile/stationary for at least 7 hours a day, 35 hours a week.
· Must regularly lift/carry/move 30 pounds of force.
· Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
· Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.
· Must be able to hear and speak clear to communicate with guests and employees.
