Analyst - Acquisitions and Asset Management

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our investment and asset management team.
The analyst will play a critical role in evaluating potential hotel and restaurant opportunities as well as monitor the performance of existing assets and supporting strategic initiatives to maximize portfolio value. This position requires strong financial modeling skills, a deep understanding of hospitality operations, and excellent critical thinking skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate potential investment and management opportunities
- Maintain and update financial models
- Conduct market research
- Create and update investment materials for senior leadership and investors
- Communicate and coordinate with internal and external teams throughout the due diligence and acquisition process.
- Track and evaluate pipeline opportunities and maintain deal flow databases
- Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties
- Review and analyze monthly financial and income statements,
- Prepare benchmarking and/or other analyses related to maximizing revenues and controlling expenses to maximize asset performance and value.
- Tracking implementation of initiatives
- Produce ad-hoc analyses to evaluate the performance of assets and drive decision making
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reporting
- Coordinate and support in monthly forecast and annual budgeting processes.

Professional/Personal Qualifications
- 1-3 Years of post-undergraduate work experience in a fast-paced, analytical role focused on acquisitions, asset management, hotel operations, operational finance and analysis (FP&A), and/or strategic planning.
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited university with preferred course curriculum focused on finance, business, real estate, economics, and/or hospitality.
- Working knowledge and/or hospitality industry expertise in one of the following areas is preferred: hotel operations, restaurant operations, strategic planning, finance.
- Keen insight into property level financial statements and cost management
- Basic knowledge of commercial real estate, including operations, debt/equity structures, and terminology
- Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with a desire to improve efficiency through the use of AI tools.
