Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a dedicated, reliable and compassionate individual to join our housekeeping team We are a 100-bed skilled nursing facility in Charlotte near the Steele Creek area. SanStone Health offers competitive pay, great benefits, and holidays.

We are currently looking for Part Time Housekeepers with potential to move to full time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas and shift(s) to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
  • Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Complete various cleaning tasks like dust mopping and damp mopping floors in all areas including entry ways, corridors, etc. Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions. Sweeping, cleaning surfaces, organizing rooms, etc.
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks, tubs, floors and commodes.
  • Removes and disposes of trash and relieves laundry staff as needed, and performs all other related duties as assigned.
  • Interacts appropriately with residents, client, other personnel, supervisor and the public.
  • Responds to customer preferences, complies with industry and federal and state guidelines, and meets the needs of residents.
  • Follows infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is maintained at all times. Follow proper reporting, isolation and handwashing procedures/techniques.
  • Wash, dry fold and hang laundry
  • Label Residents' clothing
  • Return Residents' laundry within 8 to 24 hours
  • Daily cleaning the laundry department, sanitizing the washers and dryers, emptying the trash, sweep and mop

High school diploma or equivalent required- experience in housekeeping or healthcare settings is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are a must.
