brb is a social wellness app designed to heal what social media has broken.

Today's platforms thrive on outrage, division, and addictive design. They leave people feeling anxious, lonely, and disconnected.

brb takes a different approach: it's a "weighted blanket for your digital life."

Instead of endless scrolling and dopamine loops, we offer calm, asynchronous communication, mood-based chat rooms, and emotionally honest spaces that put people, and their nervous systems, first.

We've built a polished Figma MVP and have early investor interest and traction. Now, we're ready to bring on a passionate marketer to help bring brb to life.

We're currently raising our pre-seed round and have a working Figma prototype ready for beta. Our small, collaborative team includes founders with backgrounds in UX, product, and digital wellness, and we're looking for a marketing partner to help us shape how brb shows up in the world.

The Role

We're seeking a creative, self-driven Marketing & Community Growth Lead who can:

  • Build and manage brb's presence across Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, fostering an engaged early community.
  • Create and execute a pre-launch marketing funnel that drives signups to our waitlist.
  • Develop short-form video, meme, and storytelling content that authentically represents our voice and mission.
  • Redesign or optimize our marketing funnel / landing page to increase visibility and conversions.
  • Establish partnerships with mental health and digital wellness organizations, creators, and aligned brands.
  • Identify and collaborate with micro-influencers who embody BRB's mission of mindful connection and mental health awareness.
  • Experiment with growth strategies rooted in community building, empathy, and authentic engagement (not spam).
  • Work closely with the founding team to define brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy as we approach public beta in ~2 months.

About You

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, community management, influencer marketing, or brand growth
  • Understand how to grow authentic online communities on Reddit and Discord
  • Have built (or helped build) social presences on TikTok, Instagram, or other emerging platforms
  • Have a knack for connecting with micro-influencers and brand partners in the mental health or digital wellness space
  • Can create or oversee landing pages, funnels, and light ad campaigns using tools like Webflow, Wix, or Squarespace
  • Care deeply about mental health, tech-life balance, and meaningful connection online
  • Are comfortable in an early-stage startup where creativity, adaptability, and passion matter most
