Our Sales Development team is the front line of growth at DTN. Built on efficiency, AI, and modern sales tools, this program is designed to identify opportunities, open doors, and build relationships that fuel our success.

The Senior BDR is an extension of the Account Executive team, a trusted partner who supports complex account plans, multi-threading, and high-touch engagement with senior decision-makers. Leveraging DTN's data, insights, and modern AI-powered sales tools, you'll orchestrate outreach that is personalized, strategic, and built to influence long buying cycles.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Drive strategic outreach to global Energy accounts, balancing new logo acquisition with expansion inside DTN's top 50 target customers.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools, CRM, and sales engagement platforms to identify the right stakeholders, prioritize outreach, and personalize engagement at scale.
  • Book and schedule high-quality discovery meetings that set the stage for AEs to progress enterprise deals and expand DTN's presence in complex accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives on named accounts—supporting account planning, mapping buying committees, and running multi-threaded outreach strategies.
  • Identify, research, and qualify senior decision-makers across global energy enterprises (oil & gas majors, utilities, refined fuels, etc.) to expand DTN's reach and influence.
  • Support account-based marketing and selling (ABM/ABS) motions by tailoring messaging to industries, personas, and buying centers across U.S. and EU target accounts.
  • Track KPIs and performance metrics (meetings booked, pipeline influenced, multi-threaded contacts engaged) in CRM and reporting tools, using data to refine your approach
  • Act as the first point of contact for enterprise prospects, representing DTN's innovation, credibility, and impact with confidence in senior-level conversations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing account insights, market intelligence, and feedback that strengthens DTN's go-to-market approach.

What You'll Bring To The Position

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Development, BDR/SDR, or inside sales roles, with proven success in enterprise prospecting.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior-level stakeholders (VP and C-level) in complex organizations.
  • Success in account-based or enterprise sales development motions (low volume, high value, multi-threaded outreach).
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce/HubSpot), sales engagement tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo/D&B, and AI-powered platforms.
  • Strong communication and research skills, able to craft personalized, value-driven outreach.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to act as a true partner to Account Executives.
  • Resilience and curiosity, with a drive to support DTN's growth in one of its most strategic sectors.

Compensation
The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000, with an estimated total on-target earnings of $95,000 to $105,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
