The Opportunity

We're looking for a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and mentor for our growing product engineering team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the architecture, engineering culture, and product direction of a rapidly scaling company from the ground up.

You'll lead a cross-functional group of JavaScript engineers, designers, and product managers (10+ direct reports), driving innovation and ensuring the team delivers high-impact, scalable, and elegant solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Lead & Mentor: Guide a team of engineers, designers, and PMs — coaching them through technical decisions, career growth, and best practices.
  • Architect & Build: Set the technical vision, design scalable systems, and contribute hands-on to the codebase when needed.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with leadership and product teams to translate ambitious goals into clear technical roadmaps.
  • Raise the Bar: Champion engineering excellence — from code quality and testing practices to deployment pipelines and system reliability.
  • Drive Impact: Own critical initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with company milestones (tied directly to equity incentives).
What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in leadership or staff/principal roles.
  • Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, , and front-end frameworks (React, , etc.).
  • Proven experience designing and scaling complex web applications or platforms.
  • Track record of successfully leading and mentoring teams of 10+ engineers in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong product sense — able to work closely with design and product to ship impactful features quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
