What Drives Success

The Senior Manager, Multi-Family Sales is responsible for driving Allied Air's growth and market leadership within the multi-family housing segment across the U.S. This role leads a team of Business Development Managers, who focus on building relationships with developers, architects, engineers, and specifying representatives to position Allied Air brands as the preferred HVAC solutions for multi-family projects.

The ideal candidate combines deep HVAC industry experience, strategic business acumen, and proven team leadership skills with a strong understanding of the multi-family construction and design process.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to expand Allied Air's presence in the multi-family segment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers to achieve growth, profitability, and specification targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, and pricing to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.

Market Development & Channel Growth

  • Expand Allied Air's influence among key developers, owners, architects, engineers, and mechanical contractors in the multi-family sector.
  • Identify emerging opportunities across national and regional development pipelines for Allied Air's portfolio of brands (Armstrong Air, Ducane, Concord, Allied Commercial, AirEase, and Magic-Pak).
  • Build and strengthen relationships with specifying engineers and manufacturer's representatives to drive product specifications and brand preference.

Sales Execution

  • Support Business Development Managers in advancing major project opportunities from specification to order.
  • Oversee accurate project tracking, forecasting, and CRM utilization to ensure visibility and accountability.

Team & Talent Development

  • Foster a high-performing, customer-centric culture rooted in results, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Provide coaching, field engagement, and development opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the team.
  • Promote collaboration, communication, and best practice sharing across the Allied Air sales team as well as distribution partners

Key Performance Metrics

  • Achievement of annual sales and profitability goals for the multi-family segment.
  • Growth in project specifications and market share.
  • Expansion of key developer and specifier relationships.
  • Team engagement, retention, and development success.
What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 8+ years of HVAC industry experience, with 5+ years in the multi-family segment.
  • Proven success leading regional or national sales teams within HVAC, building products, or construction channels.
  • Strong relationships with developers, specifiers, and channel partners in the multi-family market.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, design specifications, and multi-family project lifecycles.
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and execution capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Advanced degree or formal leadership training preferred.

**There will be some traval required, up to 50% in the first 6 months, 25-35% thereafter.  

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $116K and $152K annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.  You are also eligible for the Regional Account Manager bonus structure which includes the new developer bonus.

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday per year.
