Position Summary:

The Director of Development will lead and refine Shooting Touch's fundraising operations, ensuring efficient systems, strong donor relationships, and impactful communications. This role oversees donor management, campaigns, and events that advance the organization's mission and sustain its growth.

This position will work alongside our Director of Advancement and Partnerships. 

The Director will manage giving programs, execute targeted appeals, and ensure thoughtful donor stewardship through consistent outreach and engagement. They will oversee all event planning and logistics, contribute to grant submissions as needed, and craft development communications that strengthen Shooting Touch's visibility and long-term fundraising success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of all fundraising events.
  • Manage annual appeals, campaigns, and the year-long development calendar.
  • Oversee donor database, ensure accurate records, tracking, and reporting.
  • Develop donor stewardship systems —including thank-you letters, acknowledgments, and impact communications —to effectively recognize and appreciate donors.
  • Produce and manage donor-facing materials.
  • Meet and connect with local donors and partners.
  • Aid in coordinating and tracking grant submissions and reports.
  • Provide data and reporting to support the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Development.
  • Proven ability in fundraising
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with high EI
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and event creation and management.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Comfort using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and collaboration platforms.
  • Relationship builder, able to connect authentically with donors, community, corporate partners, and colleagues.
  • Creative storyteller who can communicate the impact of Shooting Touch's work
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
