Position Overview
The Sr Bridge Engineer will lead the design and evaluation of bridge projects, ensuring compliance with NY DOT standards and regulations. The individual will play a critical role in enhancing infrastructure and safety while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of bridge structures according to NYSDOT standards.
  • Perform inspections and evaluations of existing bridges to assess their condition and safety.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Microstation software for drafting and design purposes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, architects, and transportation planners.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for project approvals and permitting processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in bridge design and engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State not required but preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge design and engineering, complying with NYSDOT standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation software.
