Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join their innovative technology team. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional Agile teams to design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with a talented group of engineers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and large-scale data systems.
  • Develop and maintain applications using programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, along with both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Leverage cloud data platforms like Amazon Redshift and Snowflake to support robust, scalable data solutions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technology trends, actively experiment with new tools, and contribute to internal and external tech communities.
  • Mentor peers, share best practices, and foster continuous learning within the engineering team.
  • Partner with product managers to create cloud-native solutions that enhance user experience and drive meaningful impact.
  • Conduct unit testing and peer code reviews to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in application development (excluding internship experience).
  • 1+ year of experience working with big data technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software or data engineering using Python, Scala, Java, or SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • 3+ years of experience working with distributed data systems and tools like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, EMR, Kafka, or MySQL.
  • 2+ years of experience with real-time data processing and streaming applications.
  • 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • 2+ years of experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or Amazon Redshift.
  • 3+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux environments, including shell scripting.
  • 2+ years of experience applying Agile development methodologies.
