Red Clay is hiring a Director of Technology & Compliance to lead our internal IT operations. The role focuses on keeping our systems secure, reliable, and able to grow with the company. This individual will oversee budgets, compliance efforts (SOC 2 Type II), IT governance, and the adoption of ITIL best practices.

This position will manage a small but impactful IT team, drive continuous improvement in service delivery, and establish policies and procedures that ensure alignment with Red Clay's needs while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee IT budget planning, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Establish and maintain IT performance metrics and reporting for executive leadership.
  • Implement and oversee ITIL-aligned processes (incident, problem, change, and service request management).
  • Drive operational excellence through service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee support for ~250+ users across systems, applications, and devices.
  • Lead SOC 2 readiness, audits, and ongoing compliance.
  • Define and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO frameworks, etc.)
  • Oversee IT procurement, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Optimize the use of cloud services, networks, and enterprise tools.
  • Maintain relationships with key technology partners and service providers.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the IT team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Define roles and responsibilities in alignment with ITIL and business needs.
  • Promote cross-department collaboration and effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including budget ownership and compliance responsibilities.
  • Deep knowledge of IT governance, SOC 2 compliance, and IT security practices.
  • Strong background in ITIL framework and IT service management.
  • Proven success in managing IT budgets, vendor contracts, and technology roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on technical experience with IT infrastructure, cloud services (Azure), and security systems in addition to leadership responsibilities.
