An established and rapidly growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced
Warehouse Automation Engineer
to join its team. This position can be based in either Pennsylvania or Georgia with travel between the sites
This role is responsible for optimizing, managing, and improving material flow within automated warehouse environments, ensuring goods are stored, handled, and transported efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will apply principles of engineering, technology, and logistics to enhance current systems, devise layouts, and develop advanced material handling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and develop layouts for warehouse systems that maximize space utilization and streamline processes.
- Analyze and recommend improvements in logistics operations, systems, and processes.
- Drive the selection, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation technologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure automation initiatives align with overall operational and business strategies.
- Manage relationships with automation OEMs and technology partners.
- Support and coordinate asset purchases and capital expenditure planning for warehouse operations.
- Travel up to 50% required, including potential visits to vendor and OEM locations.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout facilities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong background in project engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing and/or warehousing environments.
- Experience with robotics, material handling systems, and warehouse automation preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Proficiency in process mapping, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
