Senior Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist

Job Summary
Join our small and friendly team as a Senior Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist In this role, you will manage the full billing and accounts payable process with our customers and partners, ensuring timely quote and invoice generation and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with financial regulations. You will also support us as we grow into new markets and customers by refining and implementing new processes based on your previous experience and expertise. You will report directly to the CEO.
What you'll do:
Core Billing & AR Functions
- Execute established processes for quoting, invoicing, and billing across multiple partners and markets
- Process medical billing submissions promptly within the first week of each calendar month
- Generate quotes and invoices within 24 hours of sales team requests
- Record payments in both our invoicing system and platform within 48 hours of receipt
- Respond to inquiries at within 48 hours or escalate appropriately
Process Management & Improvement
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all billing and AR processes
- Identify and implement process optimizations to improve efficiency
- Enhance tracking systems for renewals and re-authorizations of ongoing service fees across partner networks
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding cash flow, pricing, revenue, accounts receivable, and billing practices
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid billing requirements and consumer information protection standards
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and billing, preferably in Medicaid or long term services and supports
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Proficiency with invoicing systems and financial platforms
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check required for interacting with Medicaid funding sources and consumer information
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with Medicaid billing systems and related health programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, and/or Colorado
- Familiarity with long term services and supports programs and products, including key stakeholders and overall case management and referral processes
- Resident of Minnesota
