Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role involves operating your own truck to transport goods efficiently and safely across various routes. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of service. WE HAVE AN AMAZON CONTRACT 7 DAYS A WEEK PAYING

Duties

  • Operate a tractor-trailer, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload freight, utilizing appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
  • Navigate various routes for delivery, demonstrating excellent route driving skills.
  • Maintain the vehicle in good working condition, performing regular inspections and necessary maintenance.
  • Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including bills of lading and inspection reports.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure proper handling of different types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off truck as required by the job.

Skills

  • Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers and flatbed operations is preferred.
  • Strong background in commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and load/unload processes.
  • Previous delivery driver experience is an asset.
  • Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, and dump trucks.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to regulations.
