About the Role

We're looking for a vibrant, driven Gallery Manager & Assistant Curator to join our small, dynamic team. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves both the creative and the logistical sides of running a gallery, someone who can host an opening night with contagious enthusiasm one evening, and the next morning organize artwork shipping, update the website and most importantly, partner with designers, liaise with clients and build our client base. What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day gallery operations (open hours, visitor experience, inventory, artist correspondence).
  • Assist in curating exhibitions — from artist outreach and installation to storytelling, layout, and presentation.
  • Coordinate events, exhibition openings, and partnerships with local artists, writers, and makers.
  • Create engaging social media and manage social media channels.
  • Create engaging press release and newsletter content that reflects the spirit of Chatwin Arts and communicates our upcoming shows.
  • Maintain artwork records, sales documentation, and support the director with administrative and creative tasks.
  • Help build community by welcoming everyone who walks through our doors and making them feel part of something special.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace, or similar design/web tools.
  • Background in social media strategy or community engagement.
  • A genuine love for Seattle's creative scene and its artists.
  • Art photography skills are a plus.
