What We're Looking For
  • Working towards BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support the design and analysis of bridge structures and transportation infrastructure under the supervision of experienced engineers. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations.
  • Supporting the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools.
  • Helping develop preliminary design details using CAD software and providing input to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
  • Contributing to design reports by compiling relevant technical information.
  • Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in a professional engineering environment.
  • Reviewing and checking engineering drawings under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer.
  • Gain exposure of structural analysis and design software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
  • Learning and applying relevant design specifications and standards, including AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, and ACI.

As a Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. You'll have opportunities to interact with clients, become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects, and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridge's life cycle.
