About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Nuclear Engineer to join our team and support critical infrastructure within the nuclear power sector. This role will focus on the design, analysis, and maintenance of nuclear facility structures to ensure long-term safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural systems for nuclear plant facilities, including containment structures, foundations, cooling towers, and support systems.
  • Perform stress, seismic, wind, and load calculations in line with nuclear safety requirements.
  • Ensure all designs meet NRC, ASME, AISC, ACI, and ANS standards and regulations.
  • Conduct structural integrity evaluations and risk assessments for safety-critical systems.
  • Oversee inspections, retrofits, and modifications to support plant upgrades and life extension.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and documentation for licensing and regulatory approval.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with at least 10 years in the nuclear power sector.
  • Strong background in seismic design, reinforced concrete, and steel structures.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Knowledge of nuclear industry codes and standards (e.g., NRC, ASME Section III, AISC, ACI 349, ANSI/ANS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
