- Create and maintain process routings, work instructions, and tooling plans to support production efficiency.
- Conduct time studies, fixture/tooling design, and capacity planning to achieve and maintain ≥75% equipment utilization.
- Support CNC programming, tool selection, and setup optimization in partnership with machinists and operators.
- Analyze production data and process flows to identify bottlenecks and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies to improve precision, safety, and throughput.
Cross-Functional & Project Coordination
- Serve as the primary engineering contact for Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain on design and production-related matters.
- Provide technical support for internal audits, quality investigations, and AS9100 compliance.
- Record and distribute meeting notes, track follow-up actions, and report progress to the Director of New Product Development.
Team Development & Leadership
- Supervise and coach a small team of engineers, technicians, or drafters.
- Delegate work effectively, manage priorities, and ensure timely project completion.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning, accountability, and technical excellence.
