About the Position:
Che Fico Pizzeria is first and foremost a San Francisco restaurant and establishes itself as a member of the community through warm hospitality and a generous spirit.
We are looking for a sous chef interested in learning about pizza technique, bread and dough making, and many other techniques in a high volume setting from chefs with experience at the best restaurants in the world.
We source products from many extraordinary local farms whom we have direct relationships with and will work to expand your product knowledge base - our team visits three bay area markets every week to source the best product possible. We offer interdepartmental education opportunities throughout the restaurant allowing our team members to grow their skill base.
We provide a safe and positive working environment where you can grow as a cook and a manager. This is a kitchen that promotes a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 based on experience

We host staff events, field trips and seminars to build restaurant culture and further our development as a team.
Candidates must have four years of cooking experience, previous management experience, a great attitude, a good sense of humor, drive, dedication to their craft, and a true willingness to learn. Experience in Italian cuisine is a plus, but not required.

About us:
Che Fico Pizzeria is the newest outlet in the Che Fico family of restaurants opening October 2024.
The original Che Fico is located in the NoPa neighborhood and is a California-Italian restaurant. The flagship location opened in Spring of 2018 and was shortly thereafter named one of Bon Appetit's Hot 10 New Restaurants. The restaurant features handmade pasta, pizza, salumi, wood-fired meats and other dishes utilizing local California ingredients as if the Bay Area were a region of Italy. Che Fico has a robust craft cocktail program, as well as a very developed wine and beverage program highlighting California and Italy.
Che Fico Pizzeria is located in Thrive City, directly adjacent to the Chase Center. This location will be fun, fast-paced, and community oriented. About you:
Candidates should be outgoing, positive and have a strong background in hospitality, as well as a passion for learning and growth. They should provide exceptional guest experiences and continually strive to exceed guests expectations with every opportunity. We are looking for a strong leader on the floor who can provide guidance and coaching to our dining room team. The sous chef role will be responsible for leading line ups, providing support on the line during service as well as upholding our service standards. Outside of service responsibilities will include weekly manager meetings, scheduling, and work towards cultivating a healthy team dynamic.
Experience is a major bonus, however we will gladly accept applicants with a strong background in the service industry who are excited to take on a new role. We are growing quickly as a company and seeking individuals who would like to grow with us.
