Job Summary

Scale Service Techs work mostly on their own in the field to calibrate and / or repair customer's industrial scales. Candidates must have strong computer skills, be in good physical condition, enjoy solving technical problems and being part of a team. Upon completion of calibration, the service tech enters data into their work orders and provides a copy for each customer. Overtime may be required in busy times. There is a 90 day probationary period. After 90 days a review for a salary increase will take affect.

Duties

- Maintenance, calibrate, and/or repair industrial scales.

- Respond to Call Service (Emergency) to fix or repair scales.

-Must maintain good work attendance and productive work ethic.

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics, calibration, and hydraulics.

- Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

- Experience with stick welding and low voltage systems is a plus.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Class B CDL is a plus or must be obtained within six months with company. (has a program to assist)

  • Must pass background and drug screen testing. Will participate in random tests.
