government agency. This role requires
eligibility for a DHS suitability clearance
to interview. This position is
hybrid
and will require you to work out of DC 3 days a week.

Summary

Take2 is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Audio/Visual Specialist to support our federal client onsite in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and technical expert in video production, with experience managing multimedia projects from concept to completion. As a key member of the communications team, you will produce high-quality short-form and long-form video content that promotes the client's mission across digital platforms.

Essential Functions

  • Leading the planning, development, and ideation for professional, broadcast-quality video messages, video testimonials, public awareness videos, and news videos.
  • Developing content and story concepts that use creative storytelling principles to convey agreed-upon messages and engage target audiences.
  • Writing scripts, developing storyboards, and creating shot lists for short and long-form video productions.
  • Identifying and arranging interviews with necessary subjects.
  • Coordinating the collection of consent forms and image/voice releases using client-approved language for all non-government individuals appearing in recorded or procured stock footage.
  • Managing licensing for procured and copyrighted images and video segments, ensuring documentation proves the license supports the scope and intended use.
  • Ensuring documentation for the use of procured B-roll and audio is provided.
  • Performing all post-production tasks, including audiovisual editing, color correction, seamless transitions, sound design and mixing, visual effects, and titles/motion graphics to ensure the final output meets the highest quality standards.
  • Ensuring all video products include closed captions and provide SRT files for full accessibility across platforms.
  • Ensuring all final video products comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Creating a timeline and system to efficiently accommodate client review, feedback, and revision requests.
  • Delivering the final, fully accessible product in the agreed-upon format (e.g., for Instagram Reels, YouTube features).
  • Designing and implementing solutions for the cataloging and storing of all video and audio recordings in a manner that provides search and filter features for government staff to easily select and retrieve clips.
  • Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Required Education & Training

  • Must possess one of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, video production, or related communications field WITH five or more years of relevant experience,
  • Master's degree in broadcast journalism, video production, or related communications field WITH three or more years of relevant experience, OR
  • A high-school diploma or equivalent WITH seven or more years of experience in broadcast journalism, video production or related broadcast field.

Minimum Experience & Skills Required

  • Five or more years of directly relevant multimedia experience involving frequent, high-level technical and time-critical needs in the visual marketing, media, and public information service areas
  • Experience in delivering projects with specific results and deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal skills and oral and writing skills, as well as project management abilities
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must have the ability to obtain the client's Public Trust clearance
  • A highly motivated self-starter
  • Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills

Desired But Not Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a government or defense communications environment
  • Experience with advanced video content management or digital asset management (DAM) systems
  • Proficiency in producing content specifically optimized for major platforms like Facebook (Meta), Instagram, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter), as these are the mandated channels for engagement
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG)
