Location: Boston, MA
Your Role
We're seeking a
Social Strategist
to join our team This person will be a member of the McCann NY team, and will be sitting directly and embedded with the client in Boston, MA. You will be fully immersed within their business and support a global brand that is a leader in its category, and is creating breakthrough, award-winning marketing.
The ideal candidate will be a client-facing expert in social and digital media, responsible for supporting in the development and execution of innovative social media strategies that drive engagement and growth for our clients
What You Do
The Social Strategist will assist in the development and management of cross-platform social media strategies targeting active retail investors. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Contributing to campaign strategy development, leading execution and project management.
- Writing post copy and ideating post creative.
- Liaising with multiple agency partners for paid, organic, and influencer media efforts, and working with traffic and compliance teams to ensure on-time delivery of assets.
- Leads development of platform-specific social strategies across, determining optimal platform mix and content approaches based on audience behavior and business objectives
- Oversees social listening programs to identify audience insights, trending conversations, and competitive opportunities across platforms
- Partners with client leadership to integrate social strategies into larger marketing initiatives
What You Bring
- Minimum 4 years experience working in social media marketing and/or at a marketing agency is required. Familiarity with investment management topics and knowledge of financial advisory marketplace a plus.
- Avid social media user with keen interest in social media marketing and trends; familiarity with building and managing campaigns on the following social media platforms: LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, YouTube (DV360), TikTok.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Comfortable leading strategy and reporting meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent social-first copywriting skills required. Must be willing to complete a strategy and copywriting exercise.
- Hands-on experience creating/editing social media copy and experience working with web/graphic designers and other creative professionals required.
- Experience planning and implementing an influencer marketing strategy preferred.
