Overview
Flomad Labs R&D is seeking a motivated Machine Learning Engineering Intern to help build the intelligence behind our humanoid robots and other AI-powered systems. You will contribute to developing adaptive algorithms, deep learning architectures, and predictive models that power applications in robotics, education, healthcare, space, travel, and animal communication.
Working closely with our interdisciplinary team of AI engineers, data scientists, and roboticists, you'll gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning - from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to next-generation AI systems that perceive, learn, and respond intelligently to their environments.
Additionally, you will engage in continuous research and evaluation of emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. This proactive approach ensures our team remains at the forefront of innovation, integrating cutting-edge solutions into our workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, train, and optimize machine learning models for robotics and other AI-driven applications.
- Develop and test deep learning architectures for perception, prediction, and adaptive behavior.
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify insights and improve model accuracy.
- Contribute to scalable AI pipelines that support applications across healthcare, education, travel, and cognitive computing.
- Evaluate and integrate new frameworks, APIs, and AI development tools to improve workflow efficiency.
- Document experiments, findings, and best practices for collaborative knowledge sharing.
- Participate in research discussions, sprint reviews, and innovation workshops with the broader AI and robotics teams.
Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with Python and major ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is a plus.
- Understanding of neural networks, deep learning, and supervised/unsupervised learning methods is a plus.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities across multiple domains.
- Interest in applying machine learning to robotics, healthcare, neuro-AI, and intelligent systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a distributed, interdisciplinary team.
- Enthusiasm for exploring emerging AI research, frameworks, and open-source tools.
