Director of Attorney Professional Development & Integration

Our client, a highly respected global law firm, is seeking a
Director of Attorney Professional Development & Integration
to lead firm-wide onboarding, training, and career development programs for attorneys and paralegals. This strategic role reports to the COO and has a major impact on attorney growth and retention across multiple offices.

What You'll Do

  • Lead onboarding and integration for associates, lateral hires, and new partners
  • Build and manage a comprehensive professional development curriculum (legal skills, leadership, business development, online learning)
  • Partner with practice leaders to assess needs and deliver training programs and workshops
  • Oversee CLE compliance across all relevant jurisdictions
  • Manage mentoring programs and attorney orientations; support firm retreats
  • Collaborate with HR, DEI, and Marketing on wellness and inclusion initiatives
  • Provide coaching and feedback to support attorney career growth
  • Maintain relationships with external partners, industry groups, and law schools

What We're Looking For

  • JD strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in attorney development, legal talent, or professional development (large law firm experience ideal)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive information
  • Experience designing training programs; CLE knowledge a plus
  • Commitment to DEI and a collaborative, service-focused approach
  • Ability to travel to firm offices as needed
