In this role, you will work on microcontroller programming, low-level system development, and real-time embedded design - helping bring intelligence and responsiveness to our robotic platforms.

You'll collaborate closely with robotics, software, and electrical engineering teams to develop efficient firmware that connects sensors, actuators, and processors in real-world robotic applications. This internship offers exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded AI, and edge computing as part of our mission to push the boundaries of intelligent robotics.

Additionally, you will engage in continuous research and evaluation of emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. This proactive approach ensures our team remains at the forefront of innovation, integrating cutting-edge solutions into our workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test firmware for microcontrollers powering robotic control and sensor systems.
  • Interface with peripherals, sensors, and actuators using I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, or PWM protocols.
  • Implement real-time embedded systems that balance speed, reliability, and power efficiency.
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware-software interactions using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and debuggers.
  • Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of embedded components.
  • Document firmware architecture, testing results, and optimization procedures for internal use.
  • Participate in collaborative sessions to share ideas and support continuous engineering improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with microcontrollers such as ARM Cortex, ESP32, STM32, or AVR is a plus.
  • Experience programming in C or C++ for embedded or low-level systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, PWM) is a plus.
  • Exposure to RTOS, edge computing, or interrupt-driven firmware design is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to precision.
  • Interest in robotics, automation, and AI-enhanced embedded systems.

Why Join Us

  • Fully remote & flexible schedule – Work from anywhere, full-time (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time (minimum 8–10 hours/week).
  • Hands-on, impactful work – Develop real-time firmware that enables humanoid robots to sense, move, and adapt intelligently.
  • Career-advancing experience – Build practical expertise in embedded programming, system optimization, and robotics integration.
  • Mentorship & learning – Work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment that bridges hardware, AI, and robotics.

We actively collaborate with colleges and universities to support academic credit for this internship. If selected, we will work with your institution to help facilitate the credit approval process, subject to your school's policies and requirements.
