We are seeking a Level 1 Certified Wilson Reading Dyslexia Practitioner for our 3rd - 9th grade students who have adhd, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and possibly other learning challenges.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching, and/or Literacy
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education

Teaching Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of overall teaching experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Wilson Reading
  • Minimum of 5 years experience teaching/working with students with language based-learning disabilities

Certification Requirements:

  • Level 1 Wilson Reading certification. You must be a Level 1 certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and have completed your year long 1:1 practicum.

Payment and Related:

  • You will be paid -
  • $35 to teach 1 student
  • $5 more for every additional student you teach during a 50 minute class. We never have more than 3 students in a class.
  • You will be paid as a 1099 independent contractor on Saturday of each week (via electronic payment) and based on the number of sessions you teach during the previous week (Monday - Friday).

Additional Expectations of Position:

  • This is only a part-time position. The time of day varies but your classes are pretty consistent week to week.
  • There are teacher meetings every month. You are paid $15 for to attend and participate in this meeting.
  • You will be required to communicate with parents via google doc (GREATNESS REPORT) the end of each week about their child's progress. You are paid $5 per each student who you provide information for in this document.
